What if I told you learning just a few simple skills would set you up to build anything you want? 🔨
By actively applying foundational techniques, you’ll gain confidence, muscle memory, and a deeper understanding of working with tools and materials.
With these skills, you’ll be ready to take on any project—turning ideas into reality with ease.

I started my woodworking journey in 2016 by teaching myself how to build this very coffee table.
Instead of spending days sorting through endless online tutorials, this course brings together everything you need to know in one place.
With a Master’s in Education and expertise in virtual adult learning, I’m thrilled to share my passion for building and teaching with you through this course.

Here’s what you'll get:
-
41 video lessons among 5 modules which you can pause & play at your own pace.
-
Access to a private (optional) community to troubleshoot, ask questions, share your projects, and continue learning with your instructor.
-
Access to supplemental materials:
- Project planning worksheet
- Practice drills worksheet
- Cost breakdown: Links to instructor's tools & low-cost options
FAQ
-
Who is this course designed for?
It’s designed for beginners: anyone who has a desire to learn to build something with their own hands.
This course is NOT for people who have a foundational understanding of woodworking. -
Doesn't this hobby require lots of space & money?
I built my first coffee table in the living room of my tiny apartment for under $90 using only borrowed tools.
This course sets you up for success regardless of your space or budget. -
How long does this course take?
You could get through the video content for all 5 modules in just over 2 hours. However, it's up to you how much additional time you spend: taking notes (if you want!), reviewing supplemental materials, practicing, and building.
I estimate about 3-5 hours spent (not including actual building), though it will vary from person to person! -
How long do I have access to the course & its materials?
Woodworking for Beginners is fully self-paced, allowing you to take the course whenever it is convenient for you! You will have lifetime access.
You can revisit lessons at any time, even after completing the course. -
Do I have to own tools in order to take this course?
No. I built my first table without any of my own tools by having my wood cut for me in-store, and by borrowing tools from others.
If investing in tools is something you’re interested in, this course and its supplemental materials will give you a full understanding of tool types at various price points.
